Learning Creates Australia recommends that admissions and selection to the tertiary sector shift to focus on:
- Recognition of skills required for lifelong learning, including transparent assessment and trusted certification and credentialing;
- Building new and trusted mechanisms for ‘matching’ rather than ‘ranking’ of students at this key transition points.
To underpin this the broader further research and co-design must be undertaken including:
- Building new, necessary data; and
- Implementation of the revised AQF as an enabling policy environment.
